CCM Wins Two MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards

October 2020 | CCM News

Last week, The Money Management Institute and Barron’s announced the winners of the 2020 MMI/Barron’s industry awards. Now in its twelfth year, the Industry Awards recognize innovation and achievement in the investment advisory solutions industry. The online ceremony was held during MMI’s 2020 Annual Conference. CCM is thrilled to have won two out of three categories for which it was nominated: 2020 Asset Manager of the Year (AUM of $10 billion or less) and Sustainable & Impact Investing.

Asset Manager of the Year (AUM of $10 billion or less) honors a smaller asset manager firm that exemplifies innovation in delivering better outcomes for investors and financial advisors.1

“CCM exemplifies innovation in delivering positive outcomes for investors and financial advisors by utilizing its proprietary technology for bringing an impact story to life and dispelling the myth that impact investors must receive concessionary returns. For over 20 years, CCM has been a leader in impact and ESG investing with a specialty in taxable core fixed income.” – from the 2020 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards.

Sustainable & Impact Investing honors programs that support awareness and adoption of sustainable and ESG investing.

“Minority CARES anticipates investing over $2 billion over the next five years in market-rate bonds that align with the values of social justice, improvement in the lives of those in historically marginalized communities, and increased economic opportunity for people of color.” – from the 2020 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards.

For those not familiar with Minority CARES, it was launched on Juneteenth in response to strong client interest in making investments that focus on solutions to racial inequality. Minority CARES amplifies and expands upon CCM’s existing investing philosophies to further allow our investors the ability to target and positively impact empowerment for minority individuals, businesses, and communities. Clients invested in Minority CARES receive quarterly impact reports on the overall strategy including granular level detail on the ways that minority individuals, businesses, and communities are benefitting from their investment dollars. We distributed  our first quarterly report on Minority CARES yesterday which is available here and are proud to share that  we have invested $246 million in the program on behalf of clients since its launch.

CCM is honored to have won these two awards and take great pride in helping our clients achieve their impact investing goals. We would also like to congratulate all the winners and nominees in the 2020 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards. Read our full press release on the awards here.
