As a leader in impact and ESG investing, CCM is constantly looking for ways to advance and reinforce policies that align with our values and philosophy. One of CCM’s core values is “Mutual Respect” whereby we foster a collaborative environment which encourages professional and personal development among individuals with diverse backgrounds and talents. This includes internal leadership and mentorship programs with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
Last week, we hosted an internal Cultural Expansion Webinar from F.E.A.R.S Advantage, an organization that promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training for businesses and corporations. As a part of the Transcend Prejudice Workshop, the webinar provided an opportunity for employees to interact and connect with one another and to help create a vision of celebrating diversity. The workshop divided our team members into groups to discuss ways to improve and increase diversity initiatives.
The goal of the workshop was to help expand the Firm’s culture by:
- Moving beyond long, drawn-out conversations around diversity by weaving it into business climate, which means conversations around the subject become smoother, more enjoyable, and less time-consuming.
- Leading the team with the clarity and confidence needed to navigate through this unpredictable landscape, so you can stop feeling anxious about having “difficult” conversations in the workplace.
- Establishing the systems needed to keep expanding DEI progress.
